Delete Your Pharmaneek Account
Your right to close your account, what happens when you do, and what a pharmacy is required to keep.
Your right to delete your account
You can close your Pharmaneek account at any time, and you can start it yourself — you do not need to email us, call us or open a support ticket. Sign in and confirm on this page and the account is closed straight away.
Closing your account is permanent. We cannot reopen it, and the personal details listed below cannot be recovered. If you want to use Pharmaneek again later you will need to create a new account.
What is removed
- Your sign-in — email address, password and phone sign-in are removed, and every device you are signed in on is signed out immediately.
- Your home address, city, state and ZIP code.
- Your date of birth and any insurance provider or member ID you gave us.
- Your profile photo.
- Your saved payment cards are detached from billing. Nothing can be charged to them again.
- Any active Auto-Refill enrollment that has not yet been charged is cancelled, so no further payment is taken.
- All marketing, campaign, reminder and refill messages stop — including anything already queued to send.
Removal happens immediately when you confirm. Copies held in routine encrypted backups are overwritten as those backups age out, within 30 days.
What we are required to keep
Pharmaneek is a licensed pharmacy, so “delete my account” cannot mean erasing everything. The following survives closure, and we would rather say so plainly than promise an erasure we are not allowed to perform:
- Dispensing and prescription records. State and federal pharmacy law requires a licensed pharmacy to keep a record of every medication it dispenses, including the prescription, the prescriber and the fill history. These are kept for the statutory retention period, which is a minimum of seven years in most states.
- Order and payment records. Completed orders, amounts charged and refunds are financial records we are required to retain for tax, accounting and chargeback purposes.
- Your name. Your name stays attached to those retained records so the pharmacy can identify them if a regulator, a prescriber or you ask for them.
- Your text-message opt-out history. If you have texted STOP, that opt-out is kept permanently. Deleting it would mean a future signup on the same number could be messaged again against your wishes. Texting STOP keeps working after your account is closed.
These retained records are no longer reachable by anyone signing in — the login is gone. They are kept in our pharmacy systems and released only to you, your prescriber or a regulator, as the law requires.
